Developing PDDs – Green Domus has developed certified emission reduction projects since 2005. The registered projects foresee a 2.5 million tons CO2 reduction for the next 7 years. Our figures indicate that until the end of 2007 this forecast will rise up to 3.5 millions.
Methodology – A carbon credit project must be based on a methodology previously approved by UN-FCCC in order to be registered and create carbon credits within Kyoto Protocol. A new methodology can be submitted to order certified reductions in segments never explored before. Domus is highly qualified to develop methodologies for clients that wish to explore new segments in Greenhouse gas emission reduction.
- Validation – Validation is an exercise carried out by an UN-FCCC registered Quality Assurance Company. This company ensures that the PDD is as close to the final version as possible and meets all the requirements detailed in the PDD template and approved methodology. Green Domus submits the project to a partner validation company and follows it closely until the report validating the project is issued.
- Approval – That’s when DNA - Designated National Authority - ensures that the project complies with national sustainable development criteria and local environmental requirements. Green Domus submits the project to this evaluation and follows the project closely until the approval letter is issued.
- Registering – That’s when UN-FCCC Executive Board decides if the project can be added to the carbon projects. This is the last step before the project starts being credited. Green Domus submits the Project to the Executive Board, follows is closely and helps it be registered.
- Crediting Period – After being registered, the Project can be periodcally credited. The most important aspect of a CDM project is following strictly the monitoring plan designed for it. Green Domus monitors the Project in accordance with the client’s needs.
- Selling Credits – Green Domus relates with many CERs buyers in Europe, Asia, South America and Oceania. Green Domus also analyses the market and its trends in order to know the best option and the best time to sell carbon credits. Our clients can count on having our help to sell the carbon credits their projects generated, as well as our help to indicate buyers who share the same principles and values with them.
